There were smiles, cheers and visible excitement as Boxer Superstores handed over a real, circumstance-changing donation to Emthini Primary School in Ezingolweni; an initiative aimed at restoring dignity, unlocking potential, and strengthening the heart of the community.

The handover was far more than the delivery of goods; it was a moment of hope for learners and educators alike. Boxer donated full boys and girls soccer kits, along with volleyball and netball kits, and a range of soccer, volleyball and netball balls to reignite school sport and encourage active participation. For many learners, access to proper sports equipment opens doors to teamwork, confidence-building and dreams that stretch far beyond the classroom.

Understanding that education thrives in a supportive environment, Boxer also contributed a 5000-litre JoJo water tank to enhance water security at the school. Garden tools including wheelbarrows, spades, rakes and garden forks were donated to support sustainability initiatives and school food gardens, while paint will assist in improving the school grounds, creating a safer, more welcoming space for learners.

The donation extended directly to learners’ personal needs as well. School uniforms, jerseys, shirts, trousers, tracksuits, shoes and socks were handed over to ensure that children can attend school with pride and confidence. In addition, 60 Boxer Care Packs filled with toiletries and sanitary towels, were distributed to support hygiene and dignity, particularly for young girls.

For Boxer Group Executive: Stakeholder Engagement and Sustainability, Ntombi Dludla, the donation represents partnership and a reminder that businesses and communities can work together to create meaningful change. “Boxer continues to stand alongside the communities investing not only in infrastructure and resources, but in people. By supporting education, sport, wellbeing and sustainability, Boxer is helping build stronger foundations for the next generation because when communities rise, we all rise,”
